What's this - 622 players?  Good grief!  Well, according to TWIC, the event was won by GM Rustam Kasimdzhanov (UZB 2673), with 9.5.  
Chess femmes who participated - and what a contested event this must have been, because in (19) WGM Natalia Zhukova (UKR 2443), with 8.5.  One point off the lead and she ends up in 19th place.  Oh my.  GM Alexey Shirov (ESP 2699) ended up in 20th place!  Oh oh, I guess I've really been out of it. A European Championship for Seniors and an Open.  The Senior Championship (121 players) was won by GM Borislav Ivkov (SCG 2428) (73 years old), with 8.0. Talk about competition!  GM Viktor Korchnoi (SUI 2603) (76 years old), finished in 5th place with 6.5 - what, Korchnoi in something less than first, second or third?  WFM Valeria Dotan (ISR 2027), finished in 26th place with 5.5, and won a gold medal as the Senior European Women's Champion.  WFM Aleksandra Shestoperova (RUS 2163), finished in 32nd place with 5.5 and won the Senior European Women's silver medal.  WIM Tatyana Fomina (EST 2220), finished in 36th place with 5.5, and won the Women's Senior bronze medal.

This was a huge tournament, with many individual events ranked by category.  Reported are the events in which chess femmes participated:

In the Inline Czechia Cup Olomouc CZE (CZE), 2-10 viii 2006 cat. III (2303), chess femme WGM Lenka Ptacnikova (ISL 2193) (what country is ISL???) finished in 7th place with 5.0/11.  This event was won by IM Alexei Gavrilov (RUS 2451) with 9.0/11.

The Proclient Cup Olomouc CZE (CZE), 2-10 viii 2006 cat. III (2313) was won by chess femme WIM Monika Krupa (POL 2251) with a score of 7.5/11 against an all-male field.

In the Ave-Kontakt Cup Olomouc CZE (CZE), 2-10 viii 2006 cat. III (2317), chess femme WIM Paloma Gutierrez Castillo (ESP 2201) finished in 11th place with a socre of 2.5/11.  This event was won by IM Nazar Firman (UKR 2499) with 8.5/11.

There was also a large open, Open Olomouc CZE (CZE), 3-10 viii 2006, with 187 players.  The following results are from TWIC:  the event was won by IM Stanislaw Zawadzki (POL 2397) with 8.0/11.  Top chess femme finishes were:  11.
